Yes, this truly is the name of a satellite city of Cairo! It's obviously unusual for a name, but it's actually derived from the the date when Egyptians crossed the Suez canal to get into the Israeli-occupied Sinai in 1973. It's a fantastic alternative as an accommodation hub, but has the amazing Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx at a distance of only 15 kilometers. With the Sphinx winking at a you from an angle, it's really a wonder.

This is just a name calling by local people or it's formal??? i wonder regular_smile
