My friend Dan kept telling me about Sharm El Sheikh.....about the diving locations, the desert safaris, camel riding and other such stuff. After a month or so, I had had enough of Dan's boastings and decided to see it for myself. this time I went alone. I started out with the Sharks bay ( well..I thought there would be some sharks ....lol ). What lay underwater was amazing! i could easily spot Manta Rays and some crawlers which I cannot recall the names. There were some diving for beginners as well. I also went to a few other diving sites and they were equally fantastic. I couldn't agree less with Dan after all!
....and I did have a whale of time on the desert safaris. Well, that would come in the later posts.
See ya guys....

Poor me...went there and enjoyed a lot on the desert safaris, but couldn't go for diving as I still can't swim. Leave alone diving..lolz !!!
however, diving rentals must be cheap I believe as there are loads of them. Almost all the hotels have packages which must be affordable it seems. -Tim

We were in Sharm El Sheikh for 5 days and we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. We were in the White Knight Bay which has a peaceful beach, but an equally appealing nightlife. Diving is a true delight and i guess it must be one of the topmost diving destination in the world. We easily went to Naama Bay every evening. Desert safaris too, are worth an adventure. wish to go back again!

The prerequisite to scuba diving is swimming. So, once you are sure you can swim, you'll need at the most a day or two to scuba dive.
By the way.......Manta Rays are not very good kissers ...so better let them grace from a distance!

We wanted to visit Sharm El Sheikh next month, so wanted to know if this would be a good time to be there........I mean for diving, snorkeling etc. Also, if we would get good hotels at this time of the year!! However, desert safaris would be equally welcoming.
Thanks.
