Hi everyone. My name is Ken and I live in the UK.

I'm visiting South Africa in September.

What are the major outdoor concert venues in the city of Cape Town? Whenever international music stars tour in South Africa, which stadiums in Cape Town are used for concerts?

I know that U2 performed at Greenpoint Stadium way back in 1998. And I know that Celine Dion performed at the Vergelegen Wine Estate, which isn't even a stadium.

But what about the Newlands Cricket Ground or Athlone Stadium? Are they ever used to hold big outdoor concerts?

I've been serching for the information of both the Newlands Cricket Ground and Athlone Stadium but i found no mention of holding concerts. So i'll say that no concerts are used to hold at both but i may be wrong.
