Sanlitun Bar Street
The Sanlitun Bar Street is the earliest aggregation of bars. As early as 1989, the first bar appeared in the area. Due to its special location-near the embassy district, foreigners are the regular customers of the bars. Sanlitun Bar Street is scatted with a number of bars with different styles ranging from Europe to Asian, modern to nostalgic, tranquil to noisy. Every bar has its own style and unique taste.

Depends on the bar, but on weekends a lot of places will be open until 5am or so. You should try outside the Sanlitun area as well: there are some great bars and clubs tucked away in different areas of Beijing.
