I'm a budget travel planning to visit India 'Delhi' so can anyone recommmend where i can find budget hotel?

For budget traveller i suggest you to tell the ricshore driver <ricshore is like a tuk tuk in Thailand> to take you to "Paharganj" u can refer to "Arakashan Road". It's like kao-san road in Bangkok.

But remember!!! u must ask for discount for everything even for the ricshore. As they might open the price as hight as 80 rupees for the place that actually you only need to pay 20!o_o (Do it as well for the hotel room)

Warning!!!o_o

Do not let the ricshore driver fools u around by asking to stop at his office for such many excuses.

For example:
- The hotel we wanna go is already close. (in case that u already knew where u wanna stay)

- He need to stop for a while for some business and will take u to the hotel soon.

- The way to the hotel we want is close and his office can help u find other good hotel in a very cheap price.

- Etc.

As if u let them do this, they will take u to a unreasonable price hotel which provide them the commission for the room. cry_smile

Budget hotels in new Delhi !!!

most of the budget hotels in New Delhi are sitauted in the Karol Bagh area. the good thing about Karol Bagh hotels is that you can reach anywhere in Delhi from there as its quite close to Connaught Place.

It's also the shopping hub of Delhi.....the malls are good..but for variety, the roadside shops give a better bargain. Make sure you bargain !!

ohhhh....the driving distance to New Delhi Railway Station is only 5 minutes.
