I would like to visit the Studio Ghibli Museum, how long in advance should I buy the ticket?

I've heard most of the tickets are sold out because many people buy them few months before visiting, is that true?

Actually only 200 admissions per day are available for overseas visitors. Also the museum itself doesn't sell the ticket so u need to buy it from the agency or 'Lawson' (the combini) all over Japan and ask for "jiburi bijutsukan ticket"

In fact it's not the ticket but the voucher then u need to present this voucher to the museum once u arrived.

Enjoy!!!lollollol

I think it'll be more convenience if u buy this voucher from yr local agency (if u aren't in Japan).

I recommend JTB (Japan Travel Bureau).
Or if u r in USA, check out the JTBUSA.

It is a nice place to visit. Unfortunately it is so sad that you can't take pictures overthere!
