Is it safe to use Credit card in Malaysia

I've heard from some people that it's risky to use the credit card in this country, please advise.

no worries. i do not see why it should be a risk. just go to places where you feel safe and comfortable. it may sound a bit touristy but then prevention is simply better than cure. i go there frequently, i use a credit card for my hotel bills, including a bit of shopping.

It's safe when you don't let your card vanish out of your sight! A precautionary measure would be not using the card at small shops. Branded and big shops are mostly okay, but then it's wise to keep it on your eye's track.

Also use anti-magnetic hard paper pouches to keep your credit cards. This would prevent accidental data theft by hand-held scanners by hackers.

Using of credit card is always risky and not just in Malaysia but all over the world.
