We stayed at the hotel 24th to 27th Oct (3 adults, 2 toddlers). We travelled from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) to the hotel via the airport shuttle. The queues for immigration were crazy, there was no order in the queue and there were too little counters open.
The bus cost RM15 each (except the toddlers) but as we had arrived on a Friday evening, it was really silly of us to take the bus. The jams were horrendous, took us nearly 3 hrs to get to the hotel. Worse, the bus driver said that he was not allowed into the road leading to the hotel and would only drop us on the road outside and we had to walk in and look for the hotel in the dark. (It was the same going back to the airport, you have to wait for the bus on the main road outside - though thankfully there was no congestion the day we left - a public holiday). It was also rather steep considering the fact we had to carry 2 of them. The hotel is in a building which has the words "PanGlobal" at the top of the building. So do not look for the words "Pacific Regency". You will not see it until you get much closer to the hotel. It is directly opposite the entrance to the KL Tower (Menara KL) so this is the best way to direct your transport to the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room (should be a triple) and the extra bed for my mum was prepared. We also requested a baby cot (of reasonable size) and the toilets were clean. There is a shower and a bath. The bathroom was quite large. There is a kitchen area and we were told they could set it up (pots, pans etc) if required. Not that such things are needed in Asia where you can get food almost all through the night.
Breakfast was included and it was pretty good, not very varied as almost the same food served everyday but the views from the restaurant were good, service was good.
Location is a bit far from the main shopping belt but we managed to walk to KLCC while carrying 2 kids in about 20 mins. Can be done. Also, the famous food street - Alor street (i think) is a 1/2 hour walk away. Else should be able to get taxi (insist on meters - the drivers tend to refuse to use the meter, it makes quite a lot of difference in the price). There are buses to Puduraya (bus terminus to other states/cities) and from there you can easily walk to Petaling Street which is the Chinatown.
There is a swimming pool at the roof and on clear days you can get great views.
The hotel is highly recommended for business travellers, families, singles etc though location may not be a big plus.
