There are NGAPALI BEACH and NGWE SAUNG BEACH.

Ngapali Beach is 45 minutes flight northwest from Yangon and in the high season some domestic airlines also connect to it from Bagan or Heho airports, Located on the Rakhine coast, near the small town of Thandwe.

Ngapali Beach is a great place to end a Myanmar tour while relaxing with water, sun and sand amidst peaceful surroundings.

I agreed that the best beach for tourists is Ngapali but i have other 4 alternatives for u guys to choose as well cuz somehow during the peak season, u'll hardly find the room in this area and it also cost u a lot for that.

The other 4 alternatives are:

Chaungta Beach Quite a busy beach, good&fun very popular amoung Myanmar people. It's about 5 hours drive from Yangon via Pathein (Bassein)

Ngwe Saung Beach It's in Ayeyarwaddy Division, about 5 hours drive from Yangon via Pathein (Bassein), Unspoiled beach with all classes of hotels and very tranquil

Dawei (Tavoy) It's in Taninthayi Division in the south with miles and miles of unspoiled beach. Now being developed. Here the tide ebbs and flows a very long way twice daily!

Kanthaya Beach undeveloped beach in the southern Rakhine State (Arakan)about 6 hours drive from Yangon or 4 hours by jeep from Ngapali Beach.

I went to Ngwe Saung beach last month and I stayed at the Bay of Bengal resort. Pristine sand, clean water, and there were hardly any locals and tourists there. It was very peaceful and relaxing.

I am planning to go to Chaung Thar beach in June. I've read that this is the beach where the Yangon locals go to, and that Ngwe Saung and Ngapali are for the tourists.

I will be blogging about travels to Myanmar here Cheap Flights To Yangon
