If you do not have much time , Seti River is a good choice.

It takes roughly 2-3 days for the whole trip and beginners are recommended to raft in Seti river before joining longer and more adventurous trips somewhere else in Nepal.wink_smilewink_smile

The distance of the river is 35 kms .Stunning views of mountains are presented and the water is warm.

Santi river is also a place for enjoying Kajak and you may also take this oppotunity to visit Royal Chitwan National Park near by.

Umm.... I think u may visit 'Pokhara City' the most popular destination for rafting. If i'm not wrong the stream running at the level 3 which is not too hard to raft regular_smile and u can also visit the 'Phewa Lake' which is the biggest lake (one of the three) in Nepal.

I plan to go to Kathmandu, so what are the other places nearby where I can go for sightseeing. I don't know about vehicle renting processes in Nepal, so it would be great if anybody can tell me...would it be okay to rent a vehicle from India and travel to Nepal?

I don't recommend to ride a motorbike in Kathmandu as even Vietnam which is really busy can't compare to this city. It very dangerous!!! o_oo_oo_o

But actually u don't need to rent motorbike as the tourist attractions is not so far away from city. So it's better to walk and experience the town.

Well if u like to rent a motorbike go to the shop opposite 'Hot Bread Shop' which located close to 'Kathmandu Guesthouse'. Not to worry 'Hot Bread' is easily find cuz it's quite popular as normally they'll sale they bread for 50% after 9pm. (This'll be sold out within 5 mins)regular_smile

Don't forget the arts of bargaining wink_smile
As first they offer 400 Rupee/day then later it can be 600 Rupee/ 2 days hehehe....

I think it's good to take a bus, or a taxi. As most of nepalese can speak English and they are really helpful. They will walk u to the bus stop and wait until your bus coming! wow lol

Or even if they can't speak English they'll ask the people nearby for u. <how nice!!!>
