Any recommendation on places to stay in Cebu? Preferably the ones that nearer to the tourist spots and attractions..

I would say Shangrila Mactan would absolutely be the best choice!
Alegre Resort is also nice and the price is not so expensive.

I have never been there but my friend recommends Bantayan Island where it has plenty of accommodations with reasonable price and there is variety of food or you can buy stuff from the lcoal market if you would like to cook. Chills out with the nice beach, white sand and clear water.

I would like to suggest that you try MDR Boarding House. You can view the link: http://cebuclassifieds.com/detail.php?id=93998. The bathrooms are separate from the rooms. The facility is surrounded by an 8-foot concrete wall. The place is secure, peaceful and very nice. We will provide airconditioning if you are interested. Please let us know when you plan to visit the Philippines. The monthly rent is very affordable, it is ONLY 5,000 PESOS A MONTH and is only a fraction of the cost of a hotel or pension house. Hi,
If you want decent and affordable and an inn type, I would recommend east capitol pensionne. I was there last year for 3 days and it was nice. It had hot and cold shower, cable and telephone. If you don't have a car, walk to the main street and catch a cab or a jeepney which goes all the way down to the Ayala Mall.
