Where would you be coming from? How long do you intend to stay in Singapore? What kind of accomodation are you looking at, hotels in Orchard area? I could help you find out for better rates. Would you be getting your own air tix?

The hotel rates i saw for Marriot Hotel is averagely $400/night excluding taxes & other charges. Marriot Hotel is in a very good spot in Orchard.

In Singapore now there are many Hotel 81 and Fragrance hotels. I believe they are budget hotels. You can try those in Chinatown area. THere are some in Balestier area. If you intend to go to Malaysia by bus you can even try the Lavender area which would be near the bus station to Malaysia. Good luck!

There is a new international economy hotel ibis hotel opening in Singapore soon in Bugis. I heard it's opening in February this year, with the opening special of $148 including free wireless internet access? I have stayed in ibis hotels in Australia and Thailand, and they are decent hotels with good service standard.

Thank you Tabito for suggesting for us to stay at ibis Singapore on Bencoolen!

I booked this hotel at SG$138 and the hotel experience was great, they really helped me to save on price not on service. This rate included free WiFi access + for my partner (whose WiFi Lan was broken) they gave us the broadband cable so we both could use high speed internet connection in the room! SG$69 per person in this brand new room, good service with free Internet connection!

Location is also great right in Bugis, close to Bugis Junction, Bugis street, new iLuma shopping centre and Little India etc, I could walk to Orchard road as well!

For those looking for a budget hotel, definitely worth your money to stay at ibis Singapore on Bencoolen!
