Found the info about Singapore Dos & Donts
http://www.asiarooms.com/travel-guide/singapore/useful-information/singapore-dos-&-donts.html

Here is the conclusion then:
Laws relating to jaywalking, littering and chewing gum are strictly enforced in Singapore especially in urban areas. Smoking is highly discouraged and illegal in enclosed public places (including restaurants).

If you drop a cigarette end in the street or smoking illegally, an immediate fine can up to S$500.

As you see that the laws is very strict, therefore Singapore is a neat and clean country

For those who are smokers, I think you better keep the "cigarette end box" (not sure what to call this thing)with you.

My Singaporean friend always has this thing with him even when he travels. I think it's convenient and also a good habit of cleaniess and useful for those countries which have strict littering laws such as Singapore.

HI,

Actually you can chew gum and bring limited amounts of gum in. You will not be fined. A lot of Singaporeans buy a box or 2 in from Malaysia. Of course try not to spit gum or throw cigarettes on the floor and only in dustbins.
Hope this helps in some way.
