I think it depends on how you define "fancy" then
it depends whether you are looking forward for a raving night-out or want to get naughty.
Here is some suggestions, if you wish to hang around such as shopping and seeing things, you can easily start from Chidlom area near the Central World department store (or Gaysorn Plaza), there are some stuffs like bags, T-shirt, handicraft and handmade stuffs selling along the pavement and after that you can go shopping in Nana area also.
After that you can hang around Silom soi 4, it could be fun out there as it is Gay area and crammed with bars and restaurants.
Also around BKK, are some nice bars with live band like Q bar (near Ambassador hotel), Bedsuperclub, Saxophone (Jazz bar, my fav
,situated near Victory monument BTS station), Bamboo bar and many more! Check out the location by using search engine then and you can get around easily.
If you are looking for a romatic night with your loved one, you can also go cruising along Chaophraya river, you can reserve with Royal river hotel or Riverside hotel for the seats to enjoy your dinner while watching the moonlight. The food are just ok but the ambience that counts!
If you don't like cruising there are also some nice restaurant by the river. I can recommend you "Kin Lom Chom Saphan" restaurant, which is located not so far from Kaosan area. It is located on Samsen Rd, and takes 5 mins walk from the main road. The foods are reasonable price and you can enjoy your dinner while watching Rama the 8th bridge and listening live band.
After dinner time, you can also walk easily to Kaosan and have fun there; Gullivers Bar or silk bar is also a good idea to hang around.
