Are you referring to Chaktuchak Market which is only open on weekend? If that's the one u mean, you're really right, I had just visited bangkok, and found out that the price in Chaktuchak market is not really cheap as others commented. You can't bargain much, anyhow, you can still enjoy seeing a huge market selling all sorts of things, and big crowd!~

If wanted to look for cheap stuffs (mostly ladies' clothes, accessories, shoes, bags), Platinum Mall in the place where you MUST GO (Note: Platinum Mall is opposite to Platinum Centre, it's 7th floor in total for you to shop). You can't bargain much, as they normally mentioned it's the wholesale price in the range of 200 - 250 Baht, but you may try your luck to bargain if purchase in bulk.

Besides, for ladies bag, you can try Big C Mall, it's cheap too, around 200-250 baht you can get a nice bag.

While ZEN Store in Centre World is mostly branded stuffs. For you who are looking for branded stuffs, maybe can check it out for this place, but if for budget shopping, guess this is not the right place. Besides, in this ZEN Store, please check out NARAYA bag, this brand is a local hand made stuffs for ladies like bags/purse & etc, the price is reasonable,if you plan to get some local souvenirs , perhaps you would like to check out this!~ regular_smile

I do agree with above posts, JJ market isn't the place you can find cheap stuffs anymore! The advantage is you can find some unique handmade stuffs like dolls, funny T-shirt, shoes, home decor products, and also pets.

It is quite similar compared with Saun Lum night Blaza.

If you are looking for cheap stuffs I agree with alove post that you can go to Platinum Mall or Pratunam shopping area. The Platinum Mall is air-conned, but the Pratunam one is not, the places are opposite each other and linked with a flyover.

You can find many stuffs there; clothes, swimming suits, shoes, bags, cosmetics, hair appliance, and much more. Even they emphasis on whole sale, but you can buy minimum 3 prieces of them to get low price.

Prepare a big bag then ortherwise you gotta carry so many plastic bags~ let's reduce global warming!

If u go to Platinum Mall notes that u need to buy 3 to get a wholesale price if u buy only 1 the price is so so. Also u can't expect it to be closed around 9pm. like other mall cuz most shops'll close around 5-6pm. regular_smile
