--There is a new place in BKK called "Museum Siam Discovery Museum " which is serves as a learning centre on ethnology, anthropology, and other fields related to Thai society and Southeast Asia, in order to instil consciousness and understanding of the Thai people in their history, nation, culture, and localities, as well as connect relative ties with neighbouring countries. New methods of a display with modern media have been applied to enable participation of visitors in learning and understanding historical stories of the Thai nationregular_smile

So I think it is very good place to visit and take a photo and also it's easy to get therewink_smile

Location: on Sanam Chai Road, near Wat Pho (500 metre walking distance) and Phra Nakorn Police Station.

One thing, there are many nice souvenirs in this museum as well. Please take a look , and it is free of entranceteeth_smileteeth_smileteeth_smileteeth_smileteeth_smile

I went there last month. It's really cool!!!
Moreover it's free!!!

The building which the museum established once was the office of Commercial Department of Thailand hundreds years before (i'm not sure since King Rama V or VI).

To go there is really easy. I decided to go there by using the ferry along the Chophraya River.
If u use the BTS (sky train) just go to the Taksin Station, there's a pier, also it's an information centre which sell some river tour package.

I'm using the express ferry (orange flag) but if u wanna go slower enjoy the river view, shoot some photos, try choosing the blue flag (i guess). It's slower also there's a tour guide telling u the descriptions of some places along the river.

Stop at "Ta Tien Pier" (i'm paying about 15Baht, the slower one cost a bit more) then walk... walk... and walk... passing Wat Pho and a school, actually it just about 800 meters away from the pier eiei ^___^ u'll reach "museum siam"
