--Last weekend I went to The Sanctuary of Truth which is located in Pattaya, Thailand--

So I spent time there about 2 hrs there then I'd like to share my experience with you here regular_smile

Generally it mades from the gigantic wooden which is well combination between the ancient Thai ingenuity and the wooden carve sculpture whcih World 's largest.

It sounds pretty nice right? but I think that this artchitecture takes so much time for construction, and until now it almost 30 years but still in process. cry_smile

So what do you think how much time that this will be done? 5 yrs, 10 yrs, 20 yrs??

Well, i'm quite aprrecaited for the conceptuality of the former that he try to present the story bout the religion, faith and philosophy,

However I think that those things are abstract and hard to understand the meaning whereas the decoration inside in the building is absolutely fantastic which I'm really impress the ability of all artists who create this valuable artwork.regular_smile

Unfortunately, I missed a dolphin show, so have anybody seen that?? please share that experienced.

I went there a couple of weeks ago.

Learning Asian history and legend before you go there will help a lot as you can understand and appriciate the art more deeply.

Truth of life is a main concept and it is defined in different beliefs of Asian people.

Woods , some aged betwen 50- 100 years , are elaborately carved into thousand of legendary gods ,goddesses and angels .

One filled of Western concepts might be afraid of getting difficulties to understand the meanings of each piece but , for your relief , you will be accompanied by friendly English speaking guides who are very hands - on in answering and telling origins of each item and supplying information of the sanctury.

One thing I am personally impressed is handicraftsmen( most are women ) who spend 10 years to finish one outstanding piece of art.wink_smilewink_smile

They are highly devoted to work as most of them spend ALL thier lives in the campus carving wood.

Very first rule for visitting the place is ' be quite' otherwise you might disturb other tourists.

It costs 500 bath per person for seeing the sanctury only .

There are other activities like elephant riding and Horse back riding whcih you need to pay more if interested.

You can go there on your own feet by taking a baht one to Soi Na Klua 12 and walk right up in the soi around 1 Km to the sancturay ( It is very big so you can't miss it ) or you can pay 20 baht for Motorbike service in fornt of the soi.

I'll be there again in 30 years to see if it is done by that time .lollol
