It's hard to recommend coz there 're so many nice and beautiful beaches with clear water in Phuket like Patong Beach , Karon Beach ,Kata Beach ,Surin Beach ,etc.For the package tours you may check these sites for the guideline.....

In my opinion ,i like Surin Beach coz there is very quiet and relaxing beach naturally beautiful with fine white sand and turquoise water .

If you are looking for nice and clean beach, Surin beach must be recommended. Also good for someone who would like to get tan skin becase this beach is qouite hot and sunny but still nice anyway. And the thing is the beach is far from the main beach(patong beach) so you may take a mini cab or rent a motorbike. Or you may stay at the guest house or the hotel in that area.

For renting a motorbike is about 300 THB/ day and mini cab(tuk tuk)starts from 200 THB depends on how far it is.

Surin is nice but so quite anyway during a high season start from Oct., i think all places in Phuket are so crowded. Not so sure about Surin beach.
Anyway i went to "Sugar Palm Kata beach" once and really like it. Not a very big hotel but really chic and cool.
U better check it out!

I want to visit Phuket during the rainy season, so could anybody tell me, how's the experience? I know it would be cheap at that time, but my reasons are a tourist-free beach.
More insights are more than welcome

I have been to ' Haad Sai Khao' in Phuket.
Though nothing many things to see there , spent 5- 6 hours around the beach without being bored.
People may think it's a little creepy cuz there is a very quite memorial park near the beach and there is no shops , no business there.
be there if you are not afraid of ghosts
Here is one interesting storing of the beach ;
When Tsunami hit Phuket a few years ago , there were people who ran and hid themselves in the park and most of them were saved !!
You sure need to bring some food if you want to go there as itis very hard to find foods at the beach.
