I always admired Italian people and their fascinating culture and architecture. Oneday I want to be in the heart of Rome with my friend regular_smile. Can anyone suggest me a reliable travel agent based in Rome?

I think it will be better if you find local tour operation in your country. Easy and trustworthy. regular_smile

hi, I know a bit of Spanish, but I wish to know if that would be of any use in Italy. I have heard that they are similar, but have no idea. Never met anyone speaking Italian. Also, if someone can actually suggest me a book which could be come in handy, in case there's an emergency...

Help appreciated in advance!wink_smile

The best thing would be to take out your touring boots and get a ticket to Italy. Everything will fall in place once you land there. Italian is somewhat similar to Spanish ( the best I can guess ). I have seen movies in both the languages...... ( try them lol2 ).

I hope everything gets smooth for you. Espero que si!

I dunno ! You are perhaps right. We went there recently and we don't know a bit of Italian, but there was no problems at all. Everything went on smoothly for us...all we had was a small phrase book. Thanks to my Dad who had a decent accent of which we were in oblivion until he started with the phrasebook.

Hey buddy.............I agree with you completely. Two years ago I went to China without knowing a single word of Chinese !! It's all in the spirit I guess. About Italy, I can say that it's a wonderful country with historical monuments and buildings everywhere. It almost feels like you are walking through history. At least, a week is required to see some of the major places, if not less.
