Petra was actually discovered in the year 1812 by Johann Ludwig Burckhardt. All I can say it's absolutely amazing and definitely worth a wonder. the archaeological site of Petra is rumored to contain the treasures of a Pharaoh, specifically in an urn. The best way would be to get to the place and find it! wink_smile

There are several option reach there from Amman. You can take a minibus from Wadabat bus station in Amman that it costs about 3 JD with out extra charge for your luggage.manga

Another option is hiring a private taxi.wink_smile

But I think the best way to reach there is by private car.lol It's gonna be fun!!! and there are many car rent office in Amman.

What about spring and autumn? Is it the best time to explore the country?lol2
