I know nothing about the situation in Dubai, but using Vonage service in UAE is, in fact, a violation of their terms of service.
You might have to be responsible for any violations of local laws and regulations resulting from such use.

It's good to know that using Vonage is prohibitted in some countries.

Just wondering if the country imposes the same regulation as of Skype.??

I too agree Skype would be a better option by any means, but surely need to know if that's permissible by the law there.

But, I have a lot of friends in Dubai who use Skype. i believe it's fully legal, otherwise it would have been automatically blocked !!

Regards.

I highly suggest you give Skype a try, I have been using for over a year in UAE and have experienced minimal problems and few droped calls.
I love my VOIP PBX
